Equipt

Terms of Service

The rules for using Equipt.

These terms apply to your use of the Equipt iOS app, web pages, and related services operated by Apologia House LLC.

Effective date: August 12, 2026

Agreement and Apple Standard EULA

By using Equipt, you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement for apps obtained through the App Store. Apologia House LLC is the application provider for Equipt. We do not provide a custom EULA in App Store Connect, so Apple's standard EULA applies alongside these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Equipt unless the app resolves your current App Store storefront outside the Philippines before you continue. In that case, you must be at least 14 years old. The App Store storefront is used only to select Equipt's product policy. It does not establish your residence, citizenship, physical location, or applicable law.

The action beside the Terms and Privacy Policy states either "confirm you are 14 or older" or "confirm you are 18 or older." Using that action means you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy and make that confirmation. Equipt records that confirmation for your account as described in the Privacy Policy. If you use Equipt on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to do so.

Equipt records confirmation from a sign-in action only when the same current attempt keeps its displayed policy statement through authenticated completion, or when you select Continue while authenticated. An asynchronous sign-in callback without that current policy witness records no confirmation from the original action. Only a callback that validly establishes its bound session, or a matching duplicate in the same running app process, proceeds to authenticated Continue. An unsuccessful or mismatched callback, or one already consumed after the app restarts, uses a safe failure and return path without recording confirmation.

For a restored account, a server read that confirms the record is absent, stale, or incompatible shows the current policy and Continue. A rate-limited, failed, or unreadable server read uses account-check recovery and does not offer Continue. A valid Continue records only the authenticated account identifier, the immutable policy version, and the server confirmation time. The Equipt backend and Supabase process this evidence to demonstrate the applicable policy consent. It is retained until you withdraw it in Privacy & Data, delete the account, or replace it with a compatible stronger confirmation, and it is included in ordinary verified privacy-rights handling. If the evidence write fails, you remain signed in, but protected content and optional services stay unavailable until a later successful confirmation.

Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under your account. You may not share access, impersonate another person, or create accounts through automated or deceptive means.

Content License

Equipt and its lessons, articles, transcripts, videos, designs, software, and other materials are proprietary content owned by Apologia House LLC or its licensors. We grant you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use that content inside Equipt for personal study and learning.

You may not copy, redistribute, sell, sublicense, scrape, train models on, publicly perform, or create derivative works from Equipt content unless we give you written permission or applicable law permits it.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Equipt for unlawful, abusive, harassing, or deceptive activity.
  • Interfere with, reverse engineer, or bypass security or access controls.
  • Upload malware or attempt to access systems or data you are not allowed to access.
  • Misrepresent Equipt content as your own or remove ownership notices.
  • Use automated scraping, crawling, or extraction without written permission.

AI Chat and Guidance Disclaimer

Equipt may offer AI-chat or assistant features in future releases. AI responses can be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your situation. They are not professional, legal, medical, pastoral, counseling, or emergency advice. You are responsible for evaluating responses and seeking qualified help when needed.

Subscriptions and Purchases

Equipt may offer auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple's in-app purchase system. Subscription titles, durations, prices, trial terms, and included benefits are shown before purchase in the App Store purchase sheet or paywall.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges your Apple ID account. You can cancel or change a subscription through your App Store account. RevenueCat helps us process entitlement state, but Apple handles payment information. Founder access is a server-side designation and is not a separate paid tier.

Optional one-time support purchases are consumable in-app purchases used to support Equipt. They do not grant content or access, Premium status, founder benefits, rewards, or a right to restoration. They are not charitable donations or church gifts, and they are not tax-deductible. Support purchases are subject to Apple's refund process and applicable law. Apple decides App Store refund requests. You can request a refund at Report a Problem. Email support@equiptfaith.com for access or entitlement mismatches after an Apple purchase or refund decision.

Privacy and Account Deletion

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how account deletion works. If you need help with your account or privacy rights, contact privacy@equiptfaith.com.

Service Changes and Termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Equipt, including content, features, and subscription offerings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or use Equipt in a way that harms the service.

Disclaimers and Liability

Equipt is provided as is and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or service interruption.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Apologia House LLC harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising from your misuse of Equipt, violation of these Terms, or infringement of another person's rights.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.

Nothing in this section removes the protection of mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence that cannot be waived by agreement. If you are a consumer resident in Quebec, the mandatory provisions of Quebec law continue to apply to you regardless of this choice of law.
